Chapter 13

Rudraksh Rathore

Rudraksh had negotiated business deals worth millions—but nothing had made him as attentive as sitting across from the Khurana family.

Mr. Khurana asked thoughtful questions. Mrs. Khurana watched him carefully, warmly, as if assessing not his success—but his intentions.

And when Prakriti laughed softly at something he said, he knew he was exactly where he was meant to be.

His sister leaned toward him and whispered, “You look… settled.”

He smiled. “I feel it.”

When the elders began discussing wedding logistics, he glanced at Prakriti. She looked overwhelmed—but happy.

He squeezed her hand lightly under the table.

“Slow,” he murmured. “We’ll do this at our pace.”

She nodded, relief clear in her eyes.

As everyone spoke over one another—dates, venues, traditions—Rudraksh realized something profound:

Love didn’t feel fragile here.
It felt supported.

When someone joked, “Rathore and Khurana—sounds strong already,” Rudraksh smiled openly.

It was strong.

Not because of names.
But because of choice.
